CUCMS - RM80 000 for sex-edu program

I happened to have a chat with a friend of mine in CUCMS, and he told me that CUCMS has been granted RM80 000 (if not mistaken by MOH?) to conduct workshops, seminar on sex-education..

Dr Harlina is one of the 5 main figures taking charge the whole program...

... i wonder if we can grab this opportunity to collaborate?

p/s:
... for now i m not sure if the info is confidential (especially the Rm80 000 stuff)... For the time being , lets keep it to ourselves.

UpDateS!

Assalamualaikum=)

Dearest friends, hope this reaches you while you are in the best of condition, the best of iman ya!

We have been moving slow like tortoise, insyaAllah persistent, and reaches the end in whatever ways we can, insya ALLAH

These are some important updates; regarding our final year project.

The updates are:
  1. The working paper has been approved! =)
  2. However without budget. So, we have to wait for next year's budget which is a bit late (plus not reliable) or, scrutinise our estimated budget in the working paper and start eyeing sponsors (preferred option). IM and Paeds group made it compulsory that each members collect an amount of money. Any offer of good ideas?
  3. To make up for budget deficiency, Mr. Amin said that printing can be done using kulliyyah's printer, inks and papers. But need to write letters prior to usage.
  4. Token of appreciation for speakers will be provided by Kulliyyah. So, budget for speaker's token can be omitted from the overall budget.
  5. Currently, Prof Ariff is away for 3 months attachment somewhere. Mr. Amin is taking over, so, if there's anything bring it to him.
We need to decide on certain things; 3 most important technical things:
  1. The exact date, so that we can start contact the schools during the school holidays. We can start as soon as the school opens since the kids are still fresh and not burdened by studies load yet.
  2. The estimated budget and potential incomes (sponsors, sales, etc). Currently budget is around RM 2500.
  3. Invited speakers. Who?

Ok.. that's it for the time being.

And don't forget the write-ups ya.

Don't be shy to offer ideas for improvement. Anything will be good, and appreciated.

From PR...

Salam...

insyaAllah we'll be inviting 20 students from 5 secondary schools in Kuantan namely SMK Bkt Rangin, Smk Tok Sira, SMk Mat Kilau, SMK Tengku Panglima Perang, SBPIK...
But to ensure smooth running of the prog n compliant of the school...its better to notify the PPD regarding our prog...so a letter and approved working paper to PPD should be sent...

Since it is very unlikely for us to proceed with the proposed date (due to pending approval), we should suggest a new date to postpone the prog, the best time is right after school holiday, (we can invite the schools earlier)...or any other idea?

For the speaker, i havent met with dr syamsul yet, but plp said he's goin for hajj...so we better find a replacement..Prof Ariff suggested Dr Harlina Siraj, she's a renowned speaker...but that depends on our financial status...n Prof Hamizah suggested internal lecturer..as part of promotion of UIA...any ideas?

If you happen to know any potential sponsors....please inform azrul, hafiz jo

Lastly, dont forget about the homework given...grp 1-3 the pros of sexual education, grp 4-6, the cons....in the form of report/essay...(no words limitation)...submitted to Faizul/Iman latest by the first week of next posting...

Thanx....
Wasslam..
do response....

Bahasa Melayu vs English?

Assalamualaikum,

Kepada rakan seposting, nak minta pendapat, lagi baik buat blog ni dalam bahasa melayu ke english?

B. Melayu:
- target group kita budak sekolah menengah, yg kita expect lagi selesa bahasa melayu (bukan perkecil).

English:
- IF we expect this blog will be read by our lecturers, fellow MBBS students, junior (e.g. for future reference e.t.c.), then english could be the language of choice.
- but if we choose english as the medium, i don't expect it'd reach out the teens outside there..

So?
Agak-agak blog ni kita nk buat untuk siapa baca?

...Ke tanya advisor? Haha..

Note:
  • Hopefully we'd be professional and stick to one dedicated language. No 'manglish' please. Nor do 'sms-styled-truncated-words-and poor spelling.

p/s:
Maaf sebab kata tak nak campur bahasa, tapi diri sendiri pun dah tercampur...
Anyway it's a good practice actually.... especially in the future when we are working.
