insyaAllah we'll be inviting 20 students from 5 secondary schools in Kuantan namely SMK Bkt Rangin, Smk Tok Sira, SMk Mat Kilau, SMK Tengku Panglima Perang, SBPIK...
But to ensure smooth running of the prog n compliant of the school...its better to notify the PPD regarding our prog...so a letter and approved working paper to PPD should be sent...
Since it is very unlikely for us to proceed with the proposed date (due to pending approval), we should suggest a new date to postpone the prog, the best time is right after school holiday, (we can invite the schools earlier)...or any other idea?
For the speaker, i havent met with dr syamsul yet, but plp said he's goin for hajj...so we better find a replacement..Prof Ariff suggested Dr Harlina Siraj, she's a renowned speaker...but that depends on our financial status...n Prof Hamizah suggested internal lecturer..as part of promotion of UIA...any ideas?

Lastly, dont forget about the homework given...grp 1-3 the pros of sexual education, grp 4-6, the cons....in the form of report/essay...(no words limitation)...submitted to Faizul/Iman latest by the first week of next posting...

Its regarding the speaker, since its about sexual education, why don't we give the honour to O&G lecturer?
ReplyDeleteIts their field, besides, they have a lot of experience dealing with teenage & unmarried pregnancy...
If we postpone to early next year, then perhaps we can still get Dr. Samsul as our speaker. PR needs to reconfirm when he will be back from Hajj.
ReplyDeleteIf he cannot, Dr. Azam is another choice. he is experienced, and has seen enough, i suppose he can actually deliver well to the secondary school students. he has good islamic knowledge, and can be quite funny at times. he can speak in malay fluently also. But he is not IIUM lecturers.
i would love to hear from Dr Harlina,because she has been fighting for this cause since long ago. but that means an increase in cost and we will not be promoting IIUM brand- as commented by prof hamizah.
Perhaps if we cannot invite her as our speaker she can be our external supervisor and we can use her resources with authorized permission for our program
